The Harris Girls Academy project faced significant issues due to persistent leaks and moisture problems in the roof, creating disruption and requiring expert intervention. Bailey was brought in by Barker Associates to address these roofing challenges with a solution that would ensure lasting durability and address the unique needs of the site.

Bailey’s solution began with a comprehensive site survey, including core sampling, to accurately identify moisture problems and blocked outlets. After diagnosing the issues, Bailey recommended removing the existing system and installing a high-performance bitumen solution with improved drainage. To ensure the best results, they worked collaboratively with Barker Associates to develop a tailored specification and helped select Russell Trew as a capable contractor.

As Rowan McIntyre from Bailey noted, “Our efficient material supply coordination enabled seamless summer holiday construction, minimizing disruption to the school.” Bailey’s proactive support was evident throughout the project, with regular site visits and technical assistance. “Bailey were always available to provide support with any technical queries and carried out regular inspections for quality monitoring to ensure a smooth delivery and handover,” said Adam Bromby from Barker Associates.
