The challenge
The main challenge in this project was incorporating the niche specialised features for the stadium. Bespoke nosels for lawn maintenance needed to be installed alongside the complex internal speaker systems. These features needed to be paired with the overall design and installation of the cladding system and work in tandem with dismantlable rainscreen cladding panels.
The solution and approach
Bailey’s technical team worked in partnership with the other on-site contractors and specialists to find the best solution to incorporate all of the bespoke features that the stadium needed while keeping a clean and modern design. The Prima rainscreen cladding system was the best choice for the project. The recessed fixings worked perfectly to meet the client’s needs, and the versatile Prima panels allowed for the bespoke designs and features to be seamlessly incorporated into the stadium cladding.
The result
The hard work and collaborative efforts really paid off with the new Wimbledon Stadium refurbishment. The new modern design looks stunning and incorporates all of the bespoke functionality to keep the Stadium in action.
